My April 1967 air filer, oil filter, rocker cover breather, and oil filler cap are all silver Hammerite finish.

They did vary over time. All these parts were supplied to Land Rover by AC so guess it depended on what they supplied at the time.

I was the one that reproduced the markings on clear and white waterslide transfer paper. Unfortunately the laser printer I used to do the job isn't around work anymore and the others I have tried just don't seem to produce the same colours.
I do still have the artwork off course so will persevere and if I find a printer that works well, I'll print off another batch.

Craig.

Taxed it for another year at the grand total of £0.  Done on line in two minutes.

Starting to sort the tail lift out today, only got so far as it's windy and rain, but I was surprised the rust was on the inside, the outside it perfect, I was wondering if the rubber seal is still available to buy? Anyway, put some rust converter on and spray with high zink primer, still have to rub it all down and then spray again

I went out for a short (5 mile) drive to get some petrol for the lawnmower, and drop off some used printer cartridges in the recycling bin in Asda.

My 88" is  starting, running and stopping so well at the moment that it's a pleasure to drive, so went for a general "toddle around" feeling very happy and relaxed.  I finished up doing 25 miles.

Just back home reflecting how much I enjoy my classic Land Rover.  It really is a lovely old thing to own...... :coffee

Nice Crumbly. My 68 88" is my daily driver at the moment and I feel I'm channelling Jack Sugden from Emmerdale Farm, especially with a flat cap on - delusional if fun.

Today I turned some old LWB tread plate into 4 tailgate kick plates, which should look fine once galva'd up. The one on the left was my template. Very satisfying

Today I received a set of 60mm FRC7577 wheel bolts from LR Direct, very good dispatch service to Chile, fast... this for my "modular" rims, the originals were very tight, the bolt was 2mm below the nut face.

Thank you very much for the information about the colors of the air filter and other accessories, at this minute my air filter is Red  >:(, I scratched it carefully and see what is below...
Greetings.

Been away for the weekend with a few mates green laning, land rover now needs a good wash as it is filthy and I think it is time to get the injectors serviced

Managed to install 2 more bits of my sound installation , the area around the tunnel and bell housing area. Got fed up so I decided to have a look at repositioning my new ‘ military style ‘ seat base as I stupidly fixed it too far forwards a while back. Result , I now have some nuts and bolts and a loose frame so no seat !
It’s almost impossible to get at the bolts which sit above the fuel tank and inside the seatbox and we lost a couple of nuts and washers into the ether. Some creative thinking is required in order to complete the job as I’m determined not to remove the seatbox again 😀

The final outrigger (front fuel tank) and final bit of welding to my chassis complete ✅ feels like a nice milestone. Now for paint.
