Please pull my plug!
« on: August 31, 2019, 02:43:47 PM »

Hi All,

Almost with tears in my eyes, this is a request to Wittsend to delete all my irrelevant mails, bar this one, then pull my plug.

My membership expires in November, so I think I'm entitled to make flying visits until then, to check if there is anything important that needs my attention. I will try to sneak in and sneak out. If anybody needs to contact me, I think a PM will reach me.

It is obvious that I'm upsetting people, so I feel it is better that I walk away, before I'm pushed.

Farewell my friends ... you know who you are.

602,

What are you talking about? Don't resign.

It's a free world. If some folk don't want to read a post....then just ignore it, and the world will continue to spin.

Sorry you feel you need to go.
People have a choice if they want to read any post, if they find the content a problem they should simply not open that post again. I always viewed this forum as a group of like-minded people having an informal chat, sort of a virtual "around the table" pub meet. So carry on, get another virtual pint and ignore any friction, it's someone else's problem to deal with.

I/we don't pull plugs...

It is down to the individual poster how often and what they post.
Sometimes we have to moderate things or move topics/post to more relevant areas of the forum.

Topics will soon fall down the page and into distant memory.

We'd be sorry to see you go, so soon after getting this new forum up and running.

Stay, lurk and browse around, post when you feel like it   :cheers

Hi John, please don't go. I too enjoy your stories.

Just so you know, the bits you gave me are now on my Malawi 109. Thanks again!

Cheers, Tony

You can't go till you have given away all your stuff.

I have just been looking at the collection of models that you gave me that I haven't passed on to others.

Have always enjoyed your posts, John. You are one of the Forum members that I always read, whether on topic, or off - unless it's about hearing aids.  :-X
I forbid you to abandon the Forum. :-\
