They recommend a 60 PSI pump, or 4.13 Bar-

Imagine that for the application in a Series 2.25 cc, a 3 bar pump will suffice?

Since the injection system, the Series engine will work at just its minimum capacity.

Will a 4 or 5.5 bar pump be necessary? I don `t believe..  ???

Irrespective of exactly what pressure pump it requires - personally I would go with the manufacturer's recommendation.
I really hope that those who have, or are actually seriously thinking of fitting this system have considered the installation of an inertia switch in the power circuit - in the event of an accident and pipe severing then it doesn't take much to imagine the consequences! Likelihood of the scenario is low I guess but nevertheless .............

I followed the recommendations by Holley regarding fuel supply pressure, and due to several comments regarding lower performance, I went with the recommended fuel hose inner diameters as well. I indeed did wire in a fuel pump inertia switch, too many crazies driving here in SoCal not to! Since I shipped my late Fathers owned from new 71 SWB here from Leicester I have made many mods, all of which are reversible, to ensure safer operation, like LED bulbs in the rear lights so that I am easier to be seen, three point inertia seatbelts, and last but not least, twin train horns working from a five gallon air tank! Just don't mention the .45 1911 in the centre console!

Glad to hear you fitted a switch.
I had a quick read of the installation instructions (via Google) just out of inquisitiveness and ........ no mention of an inertia switch and nor is it shown in any of their diagrams. I would have thought that the safety and 'sue' culture over there that this would have been a must?
I have such a switch wired in to my electric pump - even at 3psi the fuel comes out at quite a rate on an open pipe!
As for the firearm ..... reminds me of one trip to Jo'berg back in the 90's. I asked the guy driving me if he felt safe here - his answer was 'why should I feel scared? I have a gun in the glove box' Mmmmm ........ :agh

The idea of an inertia switch is very good, and we will follow the recommendations regarding the pressure of the pump.

Another point, someone mentioned a pump inside the pond, which I think is better, but it probably forced me to make a hole in the pond and make a lid with bolts, I think someone did, it would be interesting to see photos, it could indicate which pump he chose, I see that in the market there are many models of more than 4 bars.

Another interesting point, when installing this injector, given the new electronics, I imagine it easy to make an anti-theft security system ... :bright-idea

So I have looked into this a bit further and have decided that I’m going to go ahead. However, it seems that the Holley EFI Autolite 1100 unit is out of stock, I actually watched someone in the USA have a rant about it on YouTube as he’s been waiting on his for some time and they aren’t able to provide an ETA.

Summit will ship to the UK (thanks Craggle) and they are the same price as buying from Holley direct.  So for now its just a bit of a wait until the units are back in stock, which isn’t really an issue at the moment as I am still some way off firing up the engine for the first time.

Hello everybody.
I'm importing one of these for my brother's LR 88 Motor 2 1/4, and I'll probably install it.

Question .. Given the extensive posibility of adjustments it seems to have, I imagine that the polluting emitions should be better than what I get with the old Solex?

Can someone tell me about their experiences
Greetings.

The system is incredibly easy to set up, just follow the onscreen prompts. Emissions are a lot cleaner due to it being a constantly learning system using coolant temperature sensor input and oxygen sensor input to change its operating parameters. Cold starts are particularly impressive with how smooth the idle is instantly. No more issues with vapour lock on hot starts either, regardless of ambient temperatures.

Excellent.

I have been looking for something like this for many years, a system that is relatively simple to install in a series, without the engine losing its essence.

I really like the series engine, and I would not like to change it, but I cannot ignore the benefits of fuel injection.

Thank you very much for your comment.  :cheers

My Sniper 1100 EFI unit and fuel pump kit has finally arrived from the USA. I went with Summit racing and they have been excellent to deal with.  I’ll update this thread as the installation progresses . I have good access to the chassis and engine bay as all the bodywork is yet to be refitted so it’s the ideal time to get the majority of the EFI installation and fuel connections done.

I’ll also definitely be fitting an inertia switch too!

Thanks to those for the help with this on the earlier posts.
