I can't speak for series Is, but so far as II/IIAs go, the documentation of the production changes is quite clear. And to change the lamp type would require changing the entire radiator panel, its not a five minute swap.

I have a 11a (pictured left) with chrome rims but I had a green rim, no chrome under the paint but might have been removed, and I did a quick swap to see how it looked, very easy

Sure the rims themselves are easy enough to swap, I was referring to the difference between the rimmed and flat lamps.

I know my 65 SIIA pick-up came from the factory with the chrome headlamp rims, I have the factory paperwork and it's listed as an ordered item on the original sales paperwork.

Not surprising as again that's a NADA vehicle, although how you ended up with a swb bonnet is another question...

That badge is one of my treasured possessions Oldun a late member here, and one of my dearest freinds, sent this badge to me. I miss him veey much. As for the swb bonnet, it came to me this way, I do have a dished deluxe bonnet in my basement waiting for me to get around to fixing the frame of it and putting it on.
